Pollen Filter

I have had my Toyota Avensis from new and apart from running the A/C for 5 minutes every 3 months to lubricate the seals, never use it. My second yearly service report states that this filter is blocked. Needless to say I am dubious to say the least. Is this possible? Can somebody tell me the filter location & how to remove it? As I'd like to check it out myself. Cheers Bob

I don't know how old your car is, but after a very short while, the filters do pick up a lot of dust, debris, leaves and the like. That is what they are designed to do! The usual location is behind the glovebox

The paper filter is electrostatically charged, in order for minute particles to be drawn into the filter. NEVER be tempted to "Blow out" one of these filters, as the tiny particles that are captured can do you harm, always replace it with a new one. PM me with your Reg Number and I will price one for you
