Toys you remember playing as a child?

Things just seemed to be more interesting in those days and how I used to play on my Spectrum 48k for hours is beyond me as the games were so basic!

Christmas morning the pile of presents were massive with thigs that range from a single Matchbox car to a BMX!

Here are a few I remember,

Big Trak,

Was very lucky to own this bad boy as everyone in my school wanted one. My mum and dad werent rich enough to buy me the trailer tho!

Generation 1 Optimus Prime,

Got this the Xmas I was in hospital with Toncilitis (sp?)

Micro Machines - Had loads of these and all the little cities you could clip together.

Specky 48k!!! - Hours spent waiting for games to load!

Vintage Lego - None of that rubbish you get today, it was all about imagination, anyone remember the lights and sound ones you used to get on the fire engines?

Zoids - Robots that looked cool and actually walked when you built them.

Could go on and on!

Spectrums were overkill, I remember building a ZX80.

Show my age now, :o the Corgi Chipperfields Circus wagons, The Bond Aston Martin DB5 - wish I still had them now because they would be worth a small fortune.

Also remember getting a Train set with metal wagons, and a third rail.

I was mainly into Meccano as a kid.

That and Buckaroo of course - a game still played in my house by placing random objects onto a sleeping cat.

I had a Big Trak and always wanted the trailer - never got it but the Big Trak itself was brill! The advert was cool - hey kids... shoot the dog.

I had the rubber key speccy too. Used to play Rebelstar loads on it.

I loved this stuff and the cartoon

I remember sitting up late 11pm when i was about 7 waiting for a film called MASK to start, i was so excited, unfortunately it turned out to be the one with Cher and a lad with a deformed face, i can still remember the disappointment now :crybaby:
