Does The 2.0 D4d Have A Dpf?

I'm considering remapping my auris 2.0 D4D but I first want to know whether the 2.0 has a DPF, as I wouldn't want to wreck it with potentially more soot etc.

I've read all the various posts on here and know that 2.2 D4D (180) has a DPF but I can't find out whether the 2.0 has one or not.

Any knowledge appreciated, thanks!

I'm pretty sure only the 2.2 engines are equipped with the DPF

I found that out today :( It appears as though only a tuning box can be used.

How come Auris can't be remapped?

Wimmer has a chip for Auris, are they lying?

Remapping is a change of the parameters in the ECU.

A powerBox it's an all different thing...

It all depends on the ECU, the 1.4-D4D ECU (Bosch made) the parameters can be changed(a lot of people are doing it), but the 2.0-D4D ECU can't, because it's made by Denso.

The 2.2-D4D...since it's a new one, I don't know about it.

You can remap the 2.0 d4d i have had mine done a couple of days ago. The ecu box needs to be opened and you have to solder on to some specific points to gain access to all info needed, the guy that did it for me explained this to me. Anw running aprox 160hp and 435nm torque. Forgot to ask though if it has a dpf i will call tomorrow and ask and try to reply as soon as possible!!

this is an 8 year old thread that you revived. It's only within the last year that people have been able to remap Toyota AD series engines, afaik.
