Dashboard Lights - ? Blown Bulb Of Not

I've had a 07 Plate Avensis Tourer T3X since June 2007 and have been meaning to ask this question for ages!

Can anyone tell me if hte push-buttons which adjust the mirrors, including the one that retracts them, is supposed to be illuminated when the lights are on. The controls to the left and right of the mirror buttons are but that's all and that is how it has been since I had the car new. It certainly seems very strange that they are not illuminated and I wonder if a bulb has blown. Can't find anything in the handbook on it - so if it is a bulb then I suppose it'll be an agent job!!??
