Hi All,

Ive notified Toyota already (this is the second time ive had a problem with the car, and ive only had it 1mnth!). They havent got back to me as yet but so far service has been appaling! Its a VVTi '01 plate.

Vibration damper from the exhaust - usually rust and bracket becomes weak.

Thanks Mart! ok, so i guess prolonged absence of this part is likely to lead to the exhaust becoming loose and eventually falling off too? (as a result of the lack of support) how critical is the damper in terms of general driving?

thanks again

I wouldnt be bothered if it were my own car to be honest.

I dont imagine the exhaust would vibrate to the extent of shaking the pins loose but you may get a little more noise from it.

I guess the part shouldnt cost too much to replace, up to you really.

Mart. :)

anti resonance weight from exhaust, i doubt you'll notice it missing TBH, car will be fine without it
