Fuel Noise (4.3 D4d)

Does anyone else find the sloshing noise coming from the fuel tank when it is about 3/4 full rather loud ?

Having thought about this for a minute... Closed vessel... partially filled with liquid...

I can't quite figured out how I never noticed it with any of the other cars I drove in the past:)

Now I am intrigued...

Just me?

Its quite normal mate, seems to be a lack of baffles in the fuel tank.

As Dave says, its down to the tank design and the number of baffles. If you watched the news this week, there was a description of the foam they put into the tanks of the Hercules planes now - thats the stuff you need!!

If you look underneath it is a long thin tank purely to accommodate it. The fuel has a lot of room to surge - it must get rough in there at times!

Thank Goodness YOU GUYS HAVE HEARD THIS TOO....I FEEL LIKE A FIRE ENGINE COMING BACK FROM A FIRE IN A WHEELY BIN!!!!!

Slosh - Slosh all the way home.

Definitely interested in ongoing or Mr.T cure if available.

Big Kev. :help:
