Avensis - One Of The Front Lights Won't Dim! Help!

Hiya,

For some reason on my Mark 1 Avensis, the passengers side headlight won't go to "dim", it only comes fully on or off.

I thought it might be the bulb but replaced it and its still exactly the same.

Therefore I'm thinking is there some kind of fuse or relay that controls the "dim" mode of the headlights? If so, where is it and how do i replace it!!??

Many thanks!

My Avensis is a later model but I guess the principle is the same. The main beam and low beam are separate bulbs and all four have their own fuse. A 15 amp fuse located in a fuse box in the engine comparment. Mine is number 30 for the nearside low beam. Fuse locations are shown in the handbook if you have it.

Hi!

Thanks, can you be a bit more specific on the location, is it one of the under the bonnet fuses, or the one behind the coin tray, or the one in the passenger footwell?

If anyone can tell me exactly which one it is, I'd be most grateful! Thanks so much!

Hi anyone able to help?

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I have been away. The fuse in my later model Avensis is located in the smaller of the fuse boxes in the engine compartment under the covers on the radiator. It is a 15 amp fuse 3rd from the top on the left. Hope this helps.
