Celica Gen 7 Stereo + Ipod Adapter

Hi all!

I've tried searching the forum, but seem to be going round in circles a little.

I'm yet to collect my 2003 Gen 7 Celica with the Toyota stereo, but i'm already looking at my options.

Firstly, if I change the stereo what facia adapter do I need? I can only find a part number for the one that replaces the sony stereo.

Secondly, if I stick with the standard stereo (whatever it actually is), is there an iPod adapter that will fit it - such as a connects2 or Dension? Searching on the Dension site it doesn't mention a Celica stereo.

Alright mate? I have the exact same stereo in my Celica, did you ever get to find out if there can be an iPod connection to this system?

Hi

There are 2 types of connectors o this head unit.

One is the CDC port which is a small 12 Way connector

The other is the larger 14 way I think. The only iPod connectivity that I know of is the Dension product.

They have the new Gateway lite BT that allows BT audio as well as iPod control via a plug in 30 pin.

Part number is GBL3TO1 and cable IPDC1GW.

Price varies on where you buy.

Thanks for the help. I just looked up the parts and they are quite expensive!

I'll probably be better off just buying a new stereo :/
