Changing The Lights

Hi

I have a toyota corolla 2003 in the UK. I am exporting it to France and the Mechanic is charging me €550 to change the headlights. Whoa!

I reckon I can do it myself for cheaper. But the only place I can find to get headlights is Germany, on eBay (nobody seems to drive japanese cars in France).

So I have two problems, given that I speak absolutely no german:

-Can I buy any old 'Toyota corolla 2003 headlights', or are they different styles for different body shapes, etc.

-I need instructions on actually changing the units. The 2003 service manual is not easy to come by. Any suggestion?

get some of them pad things from Halfords that change the bulb pattern for abroad

That's only good for short trips, not if you are exporting a vehicle ;)

Yep, it won't pass the french equivalent of its MOT without correct lights
