Pcv Valve & Airbox

Hi,

I've just signed up here :)

I have a 1.3SR and I am about to replace my air filter for a Blitz item, but I have a couple of questions:

1) Can you blank off the PCV valve at the airbox side and fit a filter to the crankcase side?

2) Does the 1.5 Yaris share the same airbox? The Blitz filter I bought from Envy Performance on eBay fits either the 1.3 or 1.5. The pipe leading to the 1.3s airbox is very narrow and I was wondering if the pipework to the 1.5 engine is larger & if it's a straight swap?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

C

1: yes you can, most people do this when they fit and induction kit (apexi, blitz etc.) just a universal crank case breather filter. some people even get a catch can.

2: I've owned both the 1.3 SR and 1.5 Tsport they both have the same size airbox and pipes etc.. only difference is the engine internally.

best bet would be to remove the existing snorkel/pipe from airbox (just twists out), and fit your own cold air feed of a larger diameter.
