Dashboard Light Malfunction

Hi all, The dashboard lights have just stopped working on my year 2000 Diesel Avensis, this model soes not have a rheostat for adjusting dash brightness (AFAIK) but the headlight beam adjuster motor has also stopped working. the headlights and door lights work fine - I dont see any fuse marked 'dash' or similar either, Any ideas greatly appreciated!!!!

If it's the same as mine, the dimmer for the panel lights is a button on the instrument panel (like the odo reset)

Ignition on, lights on, press for one second and the odo display should go to a bar chart (- - - - - - ). Press the knob again and the display should alter, release when desired setting is achieved. (1 to 6 bars I believe)

The fuse for the instrument panel should be number 19 (tail 10A) in the fusebox below the instrument panel and behind the small flip out box.If your tail lights and number plate lights are ok, it wont be the fuse.

Mine is an 02 reg. so it may be the same, may be different, not sure.
