Avensis 1.6vvti 2001 Horn Problem

Hi,

My 2001 Avensis 1.6 VVTI has just failed it's MOT due to the horn not working.

Power is going to the steering wheel, the fuse & relay are ok, the horn was tested & works, but when the steering wheel/ airbag is depressed, nothing happens. The mechanic would not look at the steering wheel due to the airbag.

I have contacted an auto electrician & he said it could be the squib. I have found one on eBay for a 1998 version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also if it is the squib, would the one on eBay be suitable for my 2001 version?
