Rear Wiper Arm Removal

Hi All.

Can anyone tell me if there's a knack to removing the rear wiper arm?

The wiper motor on my wife's Yaris isn't working properly and the only way I can remove it is to take off the arm (obviously!) but the problem I'm encountering is that the arm appears to be seized onto the spindle (I think that's what it's called) and yes, I did undo the bolts on the motor first!

I've tried giving it a few smacks with a hammer but it hasn't shifted.

If I'm doing something wrong then please let me know, otherwise I might have to take it to a garage.

Cheaper than paying someone else to do it !

try a little bit of lube wd40 etc,then wiggle it abit and if in dout give it a clout

Not always the best option when there's glass right next to it though !
