High Mileage Diesel Yaris

Hi

I'm thinking of buying a diesel Yaris (52 plate) (Version 1) with just over 100K miles on the clock...

The vehicle has a full Toyota service history to 90K - and has been serviced professionally since.

Are these engines good for 150K plus?

Does the engine have a chain cam or a cam belt?

Is there anything else I should consider about a such a high mileage vehicle?

hen I was looking for one, I saw 3 with over 100k. Ran as new.

Does the engine have a chain cam or a cam belt?

Is there anything else I should consider about a such a high mileage vehicle?

Check coolant and oil for head gasket problems.. oil/water mix.

Front disks may need replacing.

Drop links front ditto.

Rust around rear suspension.

All hoses brake and engine.

Clutch... Judder? Engage normally or near top of pedal travel (wear).

Exhaust -should be ok.

Gear change...

Radiator - stone damage.

alloy wheels corrosion.

Please advise...

The one thing i would be concerned about on a modern high mileage Diesel is the Injector rail or Fuel Pump, they are typically horrendously expensive to replace and they dont last the lifetime of the car usually.
