Quiet Indicators

The indicators on my 2008 Yaris are much too quiet and do not self cancel.

I imagine I can't do much about the latter but how can I make them sound louder?

Is is a case of a new indicator relay or what?

The sound of the indicators are NOT very loud on the current Yaris.

It may be an idea to speak to your dealer to see if he has any idea how to increase the volume..................good luck

As for self cancelling ...........they should do that.................Once again have a word with the dealer.

Have quite a few people complaining about this. Only way of increasing sound is to maybe fit an external beeper to indicator circuit so it souns when they are used.

Only way that i know is to get a 2 wire beeper from maplin and bridge into the indicator circuit so it beeps when indicators used. You may need one for each side but i'm sure they're pretty cheap. I havent done it myself but is possible. Maybe use an auto electrician to fit them if you are unsure. Shouldnt take any longer than an hours labour.

as it is the relay that makes the noise you could try a cheaper relay, or extend the loom to bring the relay closer to the front of the dash
