Peeling Paintwork

My Avensis is coming up to it's third birthday and I noticed peeling paintwork on the back bumper. Although I did not have the car from new I bought it from a Toyota main dealer with the manufacturers warranty. It would appear that the peeling paintwork is not covered by this warranty because it has been resprayed apparently not by Toyota. How much responsibility should the main agent take for the integrity of the paintwork; after all, I paid the going rate for a car that purported to be fully covered by the warranty?

Bit of an odd ball question, however your dealer you bought your vehicle off must have some information on their files saying that they knew the bumper had not been re-sprayed by them and it seems unfair that this was not pointed out to you at the point of sale, I doubt there is a great deal you can do about it now as I do know that work not carried out by Toyota is rarely covered, I can only suggest that you ask the dealership to whom you got your vehicle off if they have any knowledge of who did the spray job and maybe it may be covered by them.
