Hi peeps,

Any one have any idea how to adjust the cable on the T-spirit. Ive been told there are adjusting nuts where the handbrake lever is, but as the SatNav remote is there I cant seem to find how to get the plastic casing off?

Thanks

You should really adjust the handbrake shoes before adjusting the cable.

The cable does have 2 nuts onthe end for adjustment - you need to remove the cover that the remote is fitted into.

Agree with Mart, cable very seldom needs adjusting. Adjust the shoes first and thats probably all you will need to do.

I have had new shoes replaced in January, and it was ok then, but since the lever has raised a few notches....

as per my practice the level must to hold the car on fourth notch when the car sees downhill.

agree with Mart -- not necessary to adjust a cable line but only have both shoes positionned to reach holding on fouth notch.

the problem is with an extensive gap between shoe friction pad (ferodo) and disc internal dia or th esame surface got oily.

Believe me, it is the new shoes that have bedded in to the drums and need readjusting.

If you adjust the cable to compensate for shoe adjustment, the shoes will wear unevenly.
