Celicadrinking Oil- Advice Needed!

I bought a Toyota Celica in October, really happy with it but its drinking oil. I have to top it up once a month. I did some research on the net and think its the pistons (a fault from manfacture-where they become distorted). Contacted Toyota, as its past the 6 year goodwill gesture they wont do anything. Trading standards advised me to contact the garage to get a repair or a replacement, apparantly I'm covered under sales act and if the garage would not co-operate to get back in touch with them. The garage said they couldn't do anything and to sell it! I don't want to pass this problem to someone else. Help!

Try another Toyota Dealer, the problem is notorious on Avensis with the 1.8 VVTi and apparently people have had new engines upto 9 years old and 100k.
