to go for? can you fit them yourself? or do you have to have them pluged in to the lighter soc?

I hav'nt got the car yet its having its 60,000mile service and probably loads of parts switched (only joking) so expect loads of simple questions from me on tuesday, if anyone

You should get an Owners Handbook with the car, it will explain all re the trip computer. It's mainly related to fuel (consumption)etc., also shows outside air temp. Plenty of other warning lights on dash to enjoy though. Sorry, not into bluetooth so can't help there.

Hi,

Mine is an 05 so probably will have the same set up as yours ie the twin display in the high level centre console. It tells you instant fuel consumption, average consumption since last tank fill, distance to empty, average speed, and distance travelled from last engine start. You can display any two of the above at any time. I personally find it handy to have. On mine the temp display is within the speedo/milometer section.

The easy way to fit bluetooth is to install a Parrot kit. They vary in price and start from about £60. If you don't want to break into the stereo wiring then you'll also need a compatable connecting cable for your car (probably another £15 or so). They are "hard wired" to the stereo so that it powers up and connects to your phone when you switch the car ignition on. They automatically mute the stereo when you make/receive a call and the caller's voice comes very clearly thru the front Speakers. They're not rocket science to fit but it obviously involves stripping the dash down to remove the stereo, stripping various panels off to route the microphone and the screen, and general cable routing and suitable placement of the "brain". I'd personally recommend the Parrot 3100 (around £80-£100 purchase price) - it has a screen which displays the caller name/number and the signal strength, and they're compatable with voice dialling or you can browse your phonebook or dial any number direct from the screen buttons (obviously phone compatability dictates some of the above). The good thing about the ones with screens is that you can leave your phone in the boot or in your wife's bag etc and still know who's calling, or make a call. If you don't fancy the work then you should be able to have one professionally fitted for about £150.

Hope this helps :)
