I have a 1998 corolla wagon that I bought second hand. I did not receive an owners manual with it. Does anyone know where i can find an owner's manual online? Also where would I get a description of what the dashboard lights mean. I can figure them all out except 1 that is now on.

Hi mate. i work in a Toyota Dealership.

I can get you a price on the book if you give me your chassis number.

Also give me a description of the light and i'll see what i can do:cool:

The light looks like a flattened circle (like a flat tire) with a point in the middle and some arrows pointing at the point.

I don't have the number right now since my wife has the car today but I'll get it to you soon.

Thanks

Hi. I've just checked on a 98 Corolla we have got here.

I would go with steve on this one.

It does sound like an import.

Chassis number will sort it out still however

Hi,

You're right. The car was imported from Japan.

The Chassis number is AE100-0250453.

I don't have a photograph of the symbol but I am attaching a drawing I made of the symbol. It is as close as I can make it look.:)

Most of the weekend the light was off then it came back on last night and stayed on most of this morning. Noone here can figure it out.

Thanks

is that a diagram of a tyre? Most oddest thing i have ever seen!

i love odd things on cars! especially when it has japanese written all over it and you have to kidnap the nearest japanese student to translate what it says :D:D

OK. I went off to a local dealership and found that I have a friend working there (small world).

He said that it was a distance-from-road tyre pressure indicator. I think it determines that one of your tyres need pressure by the general level of the car and so on.

Well it's a relief that it's nothing more serious than that and I'm glad to have the feature. I will have to read up some more on that.:D

I'M SHAMED

I couldn't find anything on it.

I see however what you mean about the tyres.

Steve you are just too good for me.

Do you fancy working in a Professional Parts Department.

  • 2 months later...

that is the symbol for low tire pressure,

if you filled your tires w/ air recently, or the dealership did it, you have to reset the sensor, there is a button for that on the dash

Hope that helped

I have a problem too. My car is Toyota Corolla XE Saloon and I need its manual. Secondly, there is a light on the dashboard's upper right hand corner, which is sometimes on, resembles a tap or something, nobody here knows what that indicates. It is sometime off, sometimes on. Please help. Thanks.
