Hello all

Just wondering if someone in the know can help me with a question a friend has. Its to do with the emission tests on the MOT.

Are they done on engine size, or are they different from manufacturer to manufacturer. Is there a range? Or specific tight set values?

Would a 1.1 Peugeot 206, have the same emission levels test as a 1.4 Peugeot 206 of the same spec and year?

The 1.4 will have higher emissions than the 1.1, but thats as much as I can help you. ;)

Yes (I think!)

I'm pretty sure that the emissions test is done by year of manufacture and what fuel that engine uses.

after some reading, its looking as if the car is tested on year of manufacture regardless of what engine is fitted in it unless you specify it has an older or newer engine with proof of this
