Hello all, this is my 1st post on this forum.Have just looked at 2 Avensis 2.2 D4d's .The 2007 one has the sat nav in the top of the dashboard while the 2008 model has the dvd sat nav built into the centre console.

Which one is the better of the 2 ?

All depends on where and what you want. I personally found having it on the dash is much better as you don't have to totally take your eyes of the road as its in eye level.

Is the one at eye-ish level better than the one built into the middle of the dashboard?

I'm not sure if the have changed the design but as i have seen it comes up from the dash when you press the open button and has a remote, this has the sat nav and the trip info like mpg etc. The one in the centre of the dash is the newer one but has a touch screen. This has the radio and sat nav. Depends on which you want if you really bothered about having a touch screen or not.

I wanted to know if their is any way where you can get the pop up dash one as i wanted one for my car.
