2009 T Spirit Tourer 2 Week Report

Have now had my 2009 Avensis T Spirit Tourer for 2 weeks. It's the 180bhp version and only extras I had added was the premium sat nav (as it had almost everything else as standard!) and a detachable towbar with twin electrics, which when fitted by Toyota cam in at a hefty £750 :( but when you see the work involved to fit it maybe it was the safer option for a brand new car.

So far really pleased with the car, sat nav system is fantastic, voice controls work really well and synching with my mobile phone was quick and easy. Car looks great in Aspen grey and best of all fuel economy is much better than my T180 Verso, as I'm already averaging 45mpg when the verso gave me 36mpg at best.

Will be using it to tow a caravan in 2 weeks time, so the rear reversing camera will come in handy to hitch up, no more arguments with the wife :D

What van are you pulling with it? The reasonI ask is that my old style T180 Tourere was very limiting in choice of van and intrigued to know if the 2009 has greater towing limits.

I'm towing a van with a max laden weight of 1300kgs which is well within the limit of this car as it can tow 1800kgs
