Hi,

Anybody knows the detailed pin-out of the 6 pin connector for the D4D common rail pressure sensor? (Avensis 2007 2.2 D4D D-Cat

I'd like to understand if this connector has +12V continues (when ignition is on) and ground, and just for interest I'd like to know them all :-)

Who's having this detailed knowlegde and willing to share?

Kind regards,

Marcel

Hi Gooli,

Thanks for your reply!

Do you by any change also have the legend for the abbreviations mentioned in the diagram?

Cheers, Marcel

Did some further investigations and found this:

http://i42.tinypic.com/2e6ecs7.jpg

PCR1 - E2 = 1.8-2.1 volts (Engine Idling)

PCR2 - E2 = 1.2-1.5 volts (Engine Idling)

VC - E2 = 4.5-5.5 volts (Ignition switch at ON position)

And I guess VCS - E2S is also 4.5 to 5.5 volts. Not sure though.

So to me it looks like the sensor uses 5volts, not 12volts

Gooli,

That's again for this info.

Seems you have a proper source of information, which I lack....€

One small question, I believe E1 = earth 1 (Ground) and E2 = earth 2 (Ground as well), this just as I saw in your post VC,VCS - E1 = 4.5 - 5.5 volts, I saw no reference to E2.... I however believe E1 and E2 are somewhere comming together and both are ground (though splitted for some reason).

Never expected and thought about a 5V power components in the car, so another lesson learned :-)

Kind regards,

Marcel

Yes, I agree with you that both E1 and E2 has to be ground.

I guess the ECU has some kind of voltage converter built in,

and the various components use 5 volts to ensure sufficient power in case of low Battery voltage.
