camshaft is screwed on my 2002 avensis 1.8 vvti gls, anyone know the cost to replace this at a garage. Also would this

job be too difficult to attempt myself, i'm reasonably competent with a haynes manual for reference.

any help or info related to this topic would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

A new camshaft will set you back around £250 plus the fitting. You might be able to get a second hand head complete with shaft for a lot less

Kingo
