Perforated Steering Wheel Leather

Hi all,

I don't know if it's just one case or is it normal on (I guess 2007-2008) Yaris that have a perforated leather steering wheel. I was driving this model (TR, probably 2008) on a test drive and held the wheel with my hands like 2:45 hour-hands position in a clock. When you grab the wheel from inside with your thumbs, where the top horizontal parts connect with the wheel ring you have stitches under your fingers! The stitches are made of some sort of strong and sharp like hell thread that hurt your skin only after few minutes ride. I asked the guy what the hell does that mean, you can't ride the car properly with it?! He just told me, I won't have it in mine, and shouldn't worry. I wish, I had a picture of it. Honestly, it's like having your thumbs constantly on razor blades... horrible experience. Hopefully no one from you has this or will have in their cars... How unthoughtful.
