Your girlfriend appears to have a great taste in cars, I personally don't own a 1.8 sr but would love to have one . It's a shame they've stopped shipping them over from Japan.

are they all built in japan? I went there a few years ago as I worked for a jap company, and they are all like robots in work - follow all instructions tirelessly - time after time - weird!!

Anyway, I guess it has to be good then - any ideas on performance?

I ahve a rav4 55 plate swb and she has a 1.4 a class merc

thanks

As far as I'm aware, but i could be wrong!

Performance : 121 mph / 0-62 : 9.3 secs and a combined fuel consumption of 39.2 mpg.

Yes it is a great car i swapped my 1.0 T3 for one in January which I thought was of great build quality but when I got the Sr it just seemed to be put together better. Think the !Removed! spend abit more time on the cars than the french do.

The 1.8 Sr is/was the only yaris to be built on japan the rest of the range were built in france.

As for the performance stantheman1 got it there, I've had the mpg upto 41 with careful driving but to be honest its not a car you want to nurse its great fun to drive comparing to the T3 its much more stable on the motorway, rolls less in corners better grip aswell.

More power ofcourse could do with more low end power but its still good most of the power comes in around 4000rpm.

One thing it could have done with was a 6 speed gear box for the motorways wonder if i could get toyota to replace it with the 09 one

Spent quite abit of time driving up in yorkshire dales and its great fun to drive and to have the power when you need it.

So if you've got a chance to get one i'd say go with it you wont regret it especially when a boy racer with the channel tunnel was an exhaust trying to mock you for having a yaris then laugth at them when they can't keep up with you :D

Heres some pictures of mine aswell

The early Yaris were Jap built. Mine is a Jap SR.

Your SR might be the only new shape built over there now. ;)

Beautiful cars, fully loaded with the toys and safety stuff, bullet proof, looks the business but not over the top, looks great in Red and the dark grey
