Schumacher today confirmed a three-year deal with the Cologne based Japanese team, the move has been mooted for months with both Schui and current team boss Frank Williams eager to part company.
The German brother of six-times world champion Michael, who is currently recovering from a horror smash in the US Grand Prix, which caused two fractured vertebrae, is expected to remain un-fit for the remainder of the 2004 season.

Toyota team principle Tsutomu Tomita said: "He has proven himself to be an extremely quick racing driver in his career, and I am sure that his vast experience will be extremely beneficial to our team. We have not finalised who will partner Ralf in 2005 and this is something we are in no rush to decide on".
Schumachers team mate could be one of the existing F1 pilots, Tomita stated that both Da Matta and Panis are under consideration, although rumours of Panis' retirement at the end of the current season have been circulating.
