Yaris gen 3 headlight so so bad 😞
Mojo1010 replied to nasamorpheus's topic in Yaris & Yaris Cross Club
It's not a rant, those that had the MK3 (me) or halogen projector headlights unit knows what you are talking about. The only legal way to improve it is to get those 150% short life bulbs. I went the not so legal route, installed hid. Had the car for 5 years, no way would put up with those awful light units. -
I believe in many cars the sounds come through the audio speakers now - for example indicators aren't relays they are a sound like it instead.

Stalled engine but could restart it, after trying numerous times? Restated about 10 mind later! Can anyone help with this issue. It’s happened twice now in 2 months. Thank you and I look forward to some help please.

1. Audio controls are 3 wire resistive based - not can bus 2. yes on a LHD car the instrument panel junction box is on the driver's side (the junction box is also the B-ECU (bcm) and internal fusebox) 3. the reverse input is 12v on an aftermarket radio 4. the factory camera is 6V 5. power the camera from a 12V reverse signal - 6v - camera 6. the factory camera is NTSC composite, so is 480p (640x480)

Hi folks. I have a question regarding the fuel pump. Car stalled after taking off from junction and has failed to start since. Its cranking as normal but won't start. At a guess it's starved of fuel as it wouldn't start while towing either. I removed the back seat to try and hear pump when ignition turned on. Not a peep. Could a faulty fuel relay switch stop power to the pump? Thanks in advance.

Halfrauds 🙂 Yeah, our local council closed the main road down the road from our local car accessory shop, and built a new road which eventually lead past Halfrauds! Hence the passing traffic dried up, and it closed, which was a shame because although it was a very small shop it had 4 guys working in it as it was popular for spares and was very helpful. A second local shop has closed too 😞

The mats (the cup holder double one doesn't quite work as is but if you cut the straight bit out and separate them, it does for each cup holder) The caps If you get the caps, you need to use an alcohol wipe and make sure all the areas of the panel are squeaky clean before you offer it up. Line it up properly with the protective tapes removed and then use a LOT of downward pressure to make sure it sticks. (check they fit before removing the tapes)

Hi all, I got my manometer and took a reading where all seemed fine. Low pressure was 0.6kpa and high was 0.62kpa rising to 3.2kpa low, 7.5kpa high at at 3000rpm. Certainly nowhere near the figures Launch was giving me. I tried running car with DPF sensor disconnected and it immediately threw up the DPF Full on the dash board, so clearly working ok. Reconnected and left it at that. Been for a 40 mile drive and no codes appeared. Last Regen was reported as 90,000m (90km) ago so fairly recent. Fingers crossed the old car is sorted now. Glad this thread has helped a few folk out including me.

Isn't it annoying how easy things look in the videos, rarely like that in real life in my experience. So which horn/s did you use?

So... at 105 k, do you have any idea of your oil consumption ? I don't want to drive any car revving it to 6000 rpm. I am simply not enjoying it. That's also why I don't want the cvt. Will have to go back to the turbo powered engines again in some time. I wouldn't mind the revving if real power came in exchange for it. But with the aygoX cvt and auris 1.8 hsd, I didn't get any power for the noise it makes.

That little mat looks useful. Do you have a link to it at all? Damned if I can find it on AliExpress Thanks

Great comment, I've been on a motorway trip to Leicestershire today, and with a couple of points on the M1 being reduced to 50mph due to roadworks, nobody was going faster than me anyway.

Ah, the good ole days, I remember buying Duckhams QXR back in the day, but as you say it disappeared, bit like the car accessory shops that sold it, shame cos then just got stuck with boring Halfrauds.
