When I was waiting for a new VW Touareg to be built (I had just rejected the previous one due to it being a misbuild), my wife and I travelled to France in her Aygo for 3 weeks in 2012 with our Dalmatian dog on the back seat and the boot full of dog food/bed. We took two small squashy bags for ourselves and did about 1450 miles. On the plus side, the car was always a bit stilted due to a life of shortish journeys but after this, it had a new lease of life and was much livelier 🤣

Still waiting for my first C-HR to arrive but my wife has had 3 Aygo’s since 2006 and all have had rusted clips/bolts in the engine compartment as well as rusted brake discs/drums and wheel bolts/locking nuts. The brake discs get a film over them even after only a couple of days standing in the rain. I’ve just put it down to the quality of the metal and the coatings compared to my other cars which have been VAG models.

Irony is that Toyota's own 0w20 oil meets API SN plus spec not SP. They may have new stock coming in but that has been the case for a while.

This will make you laugh, me and the missus drove our aygo from Wiltshire to Cologne Germany (~1000 mile round trip) with a roof box on for the Xmas markets 2 years in a row and Belgium another year.. we would go for a long weekend with a light overnight bag for a few nights. (So empty car and box) we would do loads of Xmas shopping at the markets and load the car and box with wine, pallets of beer, cheeses, meats, you name it.. we came back with the car proper loaded and revving out 😂. I just kept the speed down and cruised back with ease. Great memories, and it wouldn’t have been the same without the Aygo lol

I am actually really surprised by this comment, I have had 4 Aygos with my highest miler one doing 35k a year for 3 years solid. I cruised and commuted in that car every day, and when I wanted the power I would absolutely nail it and let that 3 cylider scream up the revs, and it soon got going. Some may think that was abusing it, but they actually rev much higher than people think before getting anywhere near the red.. it’s a lot about momentum. I took that aygo from 1800 miles up to ~105k and it didn’t miss a beat and was always main dealer serviced on time.. commuted all over the uk and Europe. Agreed they are not fast.. but they are more than upto the job and will take it well. people are just now used to having lots of ample spare unused power making the feeling of cruising and overtaking less strenuous.

My 1999 Mk1 1.0 CDX did not have a flashing button, it was just a plain grey button with the red triangle printed on it.. It is the button immediately to the left of the recirc slider. None of the Yaris's I have had the hazard switch flashes on, thats the T reg Mk1, 06 reg Mk2 and the 64 reg Mk3.

I’ve written (email) to Mazda UK about the poor service and I’ve also asked for the correct oil to be put in the car. Dealer - who must be feeling the heat now - is saying it was actually 5W30 and not 10W30 but is adamant it’s the right oil for the Mazda2 Hybrid. I’m saying it’s still out of spec. I’m just waiting for MMUK to intervene and get the oil changed. Interestingly, over the last few days it’s been really cold and our average mpg has plummeted from low 60s to low 40’s. Obviously it was colder over winter and I didn’t notice such a drop. Would the wrong oil (thicker than recommended) make such a difference?

Technically the SIM or DCM fitted to the vehicle will legally have to work for the life of the vehicle for the eCall / SOS system to work - EU regulations. The subscription costs after the free period expires is just to allow access to the other Toyota infotainment unit live mapping services & My Toyota app connected services ( depending on exactly what connected services your vehicle originally left the factory with )

I use Gummipflege Rubber Protection by Nextzett on the rubber of my cars

It is plug and play, quite easy to install. You might need to extend 2 wires for the left mirror as they are just long enough to run the shortest route under the dash panel. You also need to find a permanent 12V feed. I removed the dashboard panel in order to have a good access and do it properly
