The Final Days

Red Yaris 54

As many of you know my Yaris is to be traded in this week............So.........I was up early this morning to clear out all the bits/ tools/reflective jackets etc. from the back of the car and to give it a final clean and tidy before saying goodbye :crybaby:

I have not used the Yaris since Thursday evening and when I opened my garage door.....................I had a flat rear tyre

On investigation I had picked up a screw.............right in the centre of the tread.

I left the screw in and pumped up the tyre , then went inside to try to find a tyre repairer that was open on Sundays.

The Yellow pages led me to Kwick-Fit..................(About 8 miles away) ........so having checked the pressure again........off I go to get the puncture repaired.

On arrival at Q/F I find that there are only 3 tyre fitters working and a HUGE queue of people waiting for work to be done.

They eventually got my wheel and tyre off and confirmed that a repair was possible.........Thanks Kwik-Fit

Thats the first puncture in over 6 years....................Do you think my Yaris is telling me that it does not want to go?:eek:

Nah, that's the first of many problems. Get rid now before they all start showing up. Let someone else fix them all.

As for Kwik**it,

Collect my replacement car later this morning (MB A180 Avantgarde SE 1.7)

I will miss my Yaris as it has been an excellent car, but have had a long standing ambition to own a Mercedes.

Still have my sons Aygo in the family :)

Oh dear, say goodbye to decent reliability. Haven't heard a single good thing about the A series, or MB dealers either.

Sorry to see you leave the Yaris fold!
