Yes first thing i did when i got my IQ.

Bourght both boot and door garnishes.

But did find they are only plastic for quite alot of money.

You'll quickly find out for toyota plastic is as expensive as gold...

I did some expensive Toyota Chrome and some cheeper Diditmyself. My door garnish is mounted wrong also, but I like it even better this way.

your chrome improvisations are absolutely fab ,except that door garnish .the bike base is very nice essential for a nederlander ,

i hope you can share your doityourself guide

The bike rack is Halfords, the rack mount I did myself. It's actually a modified Fiat Uno towing hook.

you get that chrome strip from Toyota dealers? whats it cost?? :)

£96 I think according to the last listing of iQ bits and pieces.(Feb 2009, probably more expensive now)

Kingo may give a small discount though!!

I fitted the black side protection moulding to my iQ and not the chrome ones, but in my case I took the positioning information from the relevant "accessory Installation manual" , (I think the chrome ones are called "side sills"), put some guide masking tape on the door, cleaned the surface, peeled off the sticky backed plastic protection paper and stuck the moulding on, "seemples" as a meerkat would say!
