Tte Or Trd

I'm confused which tuner is the official tuning department of Toyota and do they both not void your warranty?

As far as i am aware neither will void your warranty

as some components are tte on factory cars such as the SR which has tte exaust etc!

and trd is the racing development specificaly for toyota!

as chris says TTE are mainly sport optional extra bits built by a company within toyota

abd TRD make allsorts of coilovers etc....proper race stuff but still another arm of Toyota

so at the end of the day its all Toyota genuine parts so therefore should do in any warrenty

TTE are the European section and do the Formula One racing at the mo, in the Nineties they did the Rallying. Stands for Toyota Team Europe.

TRD are Japan and America and do the CART racing. Not sure if they've done other things. Stands for Toyota Racing Development.

Guess they originally intended to be totally seperate in terms of where they sold to, but now TTE's site makes it easier to source TRD parts (www.tte.de), by at least putting a link in.
