if I do an enthusiastic start ( rev more then 4000 ) I can smell a horrible burnt smell.

if I do a normal start, rev only up to 3.5. no problem, no smell

is my clutch burnt? or is it normal?

It's normal. Very easy to burn the clutch on the CTS, think it's partly to do with where the air intakes are which draws the smell in.

Don't worry about it until the clutch actually starts slipping.

thanks, it must be something with the air intake, coz if I switch the AC off or switch to circulate the air just in the cabin. than it's hardly noticeable

also it's been like in the last 6k. car has only done 28k and 6 years old.
