Service In Bournemouth Area

I bought a 55 plate RAV 4 D4D from CarGiant in London a few weeks ago. I knew it was due a major service and cam belt and that was reflected in the price. The service history was missing but I can see it has a full Toyota Service History from the mileage verification searches they perform but I am not sure if its worth keeping this up given that Toyota want £525 for the service and I can get it done for half that from an independant garage. What do people think is it worth keeping the FTSH up to date?

Can anybody suggest the name of a decent independant specialist within 30 miles of Bournemouth who can carry out my 60K service?

Cheers

Can't help you with an indie down there but my view about the service history at that age is that having it or getting it restored is unlikely to be reflected in the resale value. By the time you have had it for 2 or 3 years likely owners are probably not going to be to fussed over it. Your recieipt for the timing belt change might well encourage somebody so hang on to that and just tell them the previous history is lost.

IMHO
