Corolla Front Disc Enlargement

The tiny front discs on the Corolla are....well tiny, and quite frankly not very good at bringing things to a halt.....they will be even worse with a more powerfull engine......what are the options for fitting bigger discs.....are there any straight swaps ro the discs from any of the Toyota family???

I was thinking Celica 185 conversion but that would mean welding the existing wheel stud holes up and drilling new ones.....

Dont really want to spend 1000`s on a big disc conversion from tarox or who ever....so has anyone done anything similar...whats the best way to go about doing this?

Levin bzr have bigger brakes and calipers, think the calipers are same as st185, but not sure if theyll fit as bzr has superstrut, there should be a easy option, think the bzr are 270mm discs, and if the 185 caliper is a straight fit, why not get a adapter off martinking or whatever his name is on gt4oc so that the st205 calipers will bolt to, he does a kit to put 205 calipers on 185, if you no what i mean, think it needs bigger discs then 300mm, shoulnt be a major job the machine 205 discs to 300mm and drill 4x100, and while ur at the machine shop, get them to machine the celica off the caliper and paint them red and get a trd sticker off eBay for them, and everyone will say wow trd brakes on a corolla they must be hard to get :D would look well inside ur white speedlines,

again im not sure on what fits and what doesnt, but if you had the 205 setup youd have some brakes, have a look on www.ae111.co.uk,

its mainly levins, ae101 and ae111, but they share some parts with the corolla, they even have a brake section with some good info and specs
