Smell Of Fumes Inside Cabin

im getting a smell of exhaust fumes when i pull away .anyone know what this could be? the car is on 66'000 miles now .

might be of help to locate where the smell is quite strong, ie vents, boot area front footwell. It may be under your boot carpet there is like a rubber plug with a hole..the rubber plug may be off causing the smells to come inside the cabin??

Whenever i get that exhaust fume smell in my car, cause my air circulation isnt on and im sucking in the air from the car exhaust infront of me, which usually an old-ish car (pre-2000) :sick:

It might be some exhaust leakage between the manifold and the exhaust pipe. There is a gasket there, and it might be worn out. This was the case with my 1984 Nissan Cherry GTT (in the really old days). Don't know if it applies to modern Toyota quality, but it's worth a check.

The air intake for the AC is just beneath the wind shield, so the fumes might come from the engine compartment.
