T Sport Insurance

I'm 18, 19 in January. And i'll of had my test 2 years on the 16th of Jan, so i'll not be restricted to 6 points anymore.

Anyways, I was pricing Insurance for a TSport as if I had just turned 19, and the best quotes I was looking at were around £3200.. Some going up to about £5-6K..

I filled in a thing last night about fleet insurance.. And they gave me a ring today. My mum owns a company, so I've thought about the idea of taking fleet insurance out for her cars; Her own Honda Accord, and a TSport to replace my Diesel Auris...

Well they got back to me with a price of £3200.. But thats £3200 for both cars (Accord and Corolla TSport), Any Driver, Any Age.. My mum's paying about £1000~ for her own car, with my brother and I as named drivers. And the Auris is costing about £900 under my Dad's insurance..

So I can get insurance on a TSport for roughly £2000.. Any Driver, Any Age.. Fully Comp..

How much are you guys paying? Mainly the younger guys?

Now, just to find a T Sport.. :D

23 years old, 5 years NCB, homeowner - parked on driveway, 06 T sport paying £350 with 250 excess

- Try sticking your voluntary excess up and your annual mileage down, not gonna make loads of difference but money in your pocket instead of theirs!

The excess is already something like £200, or £550 if they're under 21.

They have crazy policies now where your premium is low enough.. But the excess is about £2000.

I priced it through Coversure, I can't remember who he said it was with.. Might of been Zurich..

You know if they cover mods?

Lol I'd rather not say how much I'm paying..but I assume you have no points? I'm guessing you'd be looking at £1500-£2000? But it's been almost half year since my quote so prices may have gone up.

Still though..I think I'm pretty lucky to be insured considering my circumstances, and Bell even covered my mods

I've been getting quotes as for as soon as I can drive and my worst was 17k p.a. and my best so far was £3400 p.a. with an excess of £1500......

I did this within the following parameters;

Single (as always)

In a locked garage

Tracking device

Engine immobiliser (I want to fit them)

17 years old

£1500 excess

annual mileage of 4000

Nomods

No NCB,

Full UK

No other cars or drivers

In summary, I am screwed....

Im with bell, 24, compressor £460, but i bought the car when i was 21 and paid directline £700 ish fully comp, but then again that was with a York postcode, now i've moved into a leeds postcode bell have added another £60. typical. Just as a tip find someone who is a proffesional driver and add them, i always put my girlfriends farther on, he's a lorry driver, knocked £80 off.

The fact Aaron lives in the Shetlands probably helps! A) there is no one there to nick your car, B) If someone did you probably know them! and C) Who the hell are you going to run in too????

Dont put the car in the garage, it does lower the insurance if you state on 'driveway'

But im 23, 6 points, 1 claim & i pay around the £800 figure

Thats with my mother as 2nd driver which i may add brings it down a lot if they have no claims & no points. Because on my own i was quoted around £1600 put my lovely mam on (she ain't allowed to drive it tho) and it droped nilly £800 happy days :D
