Hi Blackhole;

lovely car you got there.

the only info i can find is this handy website:

http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/crown/

I came across this site a long time ago when looking for info on my import Mark II.

hope this helps. Otherwise keying in the fist digits of the vin plate sometimes works as well.

keep it running.

Its a stunning car that you have mate! Really love the front of the bonnet, really cool little vent! ;)

I'd love to own a Toyota of that sort of age. :yes::drool:

Touche touche, good come-back! :lol:

I love older cars, far more character than many modern cars. :yes:

There is a Rover SD1 V8 in Greenleys, in maroon. It is a beautiful car IMO, absolutely pristine, with far more interesting looks than the current line of cars we have today...

I have to agree with you in some way with regard to older cars having character.... I feel this is simply because it is possible to interact with the car more than we can do nowadays. Back then it was easier to get under the bonnet and repair/adjust things with a spanner and screwdriver which meant we understood them more than we do now :huh:

Modern cars really are better than those of yesteryear but I will always have an eye and fondness for those that were around during my youth hence my recent purchase :yes:

The Rover SD1 is a good car but heck they could be so flippin unreliable and rust badly :(

Yes reliability issues were constantly present with the SD1, and you are right about the ease of access offered by older cars.

Having to hook a car up to a computer to service it just takes out the fun of it. I love having to diagnose with my hands and intuition, rather than relying on a scattering of sensors and fuses.

Being able to keep your own car healthy is brilliant, because you know that it is your own slice of perfection, made by you for you. Something that I find to be rather lost on modern motors. Don't get me wrong, I do love some modern cars, but if it was down to having an experience with a car, then I will tell anyone that an older car is better hands down. EVERY time. :yes:
