Hi all,

I've got a rolla gti thats been in my garage for 6 years, owned for15, after timing belt snapped(1991 late version import).

Spent the last few months (and too much money) restoring. Got it running but only problem now appears to be the knock sensor, matched code and removed the sensor and it is damaged. Went to toyota and checked online these are over£100 new!

Was wondering if anyone has or knows where i could get one, or if they are the same part in all gti's or even mr2's etc? then i could try and get one from a breakers?

My sensor that i removed has a few markings on it. Large letter: M , no: 71 with no:145 underneath and no:00412.

Any help much appreciated.

Andrew

In my experience the one from a MK1 MR2 should do the job, any chance of a picture in case I've got one laying about ? Don't whatever you do go to the main dealer, someone out there must have the bit you need

£100 does supprise me!

In 'design' this is very similar to the GM (Vauxhall/Opel/Chevrolet) version of the 1990's

In 'design' this is very similar to the GM (Vauxhall/Opel/Chevrolet) version of the 1990's yet they only cost approx £20 to £30; although I realise there will be 'differences' in tolerance... ... or would there?
