Hilux Oil Change

Having just changed the oil and filter on my 1996 surf I was astonished to find only about 3 litres of old oil drained out , and upon filling with 5 ltrs of fresh oil the dipstick shows about 50mm overfill? can anyone help?

You must have been very low on oil then, also on the refill with filter it should take around 7 ltrs.

Just had a thought about when you said only 3 ltrs, you didn't drain the auto box sump by mistake did you.

Quite right drained the auto box by mistake!!
