No Way Have I Got Rust Round My Windscreen!

Has anyone else developed rust on their windscreen posts? I have got a 2 inch rust bubble on my windscreen post which goes under the windscreen seal. Mine is a 52 plate wouldn't have thought it would happen! I was absolutely gutted when i see it, to get the job done properly i imagine is that the windscreen is going to have to come out, rubbed down and sprayed but will cost a fortune. Ive been quoted a touch up from chips away at £90, but the problem will come back in 6 months. I imagine this is a common rust problem , has anyone else experienced this and what have you done about it and at what cost?
