Hi Guys!

I've had to have a new hand brake cable on my roadster, the garage tell me they will need to remove petrol tank to get to it to to fit it, does that sound like standard procedure to anyone?

Had to have loads of work done this MOT time, got a really dodgy one i'm afraid

Unfortunately the tank does have to come out for replacing handbrake cables because they are secured behind it and you wouldn't want a loose cable rubbing a hole in the fuel tank ;) Having said that I have heard where someone managed to change them by just lowering the tank enough to get at the clips
