Clean Stock Exhaust ?

Hi,

Just after a bit of advice, I've got the stock Toyota exhaust on my TSport but on the shroud on the back pipe its filthy, I can't afford to replace it at the moment but if I could give it a bit of a clean up that would make it better.

So what metal is it made from (so I can know what to clean it with) ?

and

How would I best clean it while it is still on the car (can get use of a 4 point lift to get it into the air) ?

Many thanks,

Steve

autosol would work nicely.. but you might need to sand and wetsand the surface before to give it a decent surface to work with :)

Yeah, thats the piece, mine is caked in crap, looks terrible!

How would you apply it, is it just a case of a cloth & rubbing it on, I don't fancy sandpaper, but depending on how bad it is I might need it?

I use my farecla cream on mine as well as the alloys brings them up nice and shiny.

the only point sandpaper needs bringing out is when you want to go www.excessive.com

some generic rag and appropriate metal cleaning cream will more than suffice.

what is this farecla cream spoken of? it sounds like it might destroy painted alloys in a heartbeat lol

Thanks, I might have a try tomorrow, see how I go.
