E11 20V Blacktop Conversion, Has Anyone Done This?

hows things everybody?

My name is stephen maloney and im new to this site and i must say it is brilliant!

anyways i have an e11 corolla pre facelift 1.3 and i looking for a second car at the moment, but i am keeping my corolla too. im just curious has anyone ever put an 20 valve black top bzr engine into a e11 corolla? because im seriously thinking of doing it... but what would i need to do? how different are the engines/ mounts? will i have to change the wiring loom and uprate breaks? could someone please tell me the steps to the change please and thank you!:)

hello bud welcome to toc,the engine will bolt in mate, you would need the loom ecu shafts and gearbox also, you dont have to change brakes but i would advice to

cheers, would it bolt straight in or would i have to change around the mounts? yea i was expecting all the loom ecu and that needed to be changed.. oh if i do it there will def be disks all round! better safe than in a wall!

.............why would you want to put webers on it? it has ITB's as stock :P

if you are getting the conversion done you might want to consider getting a 4AGE engine with a 5speed gear box, i.e. from a BZG. BZR comes with a 6 speed gearbox which is considered a week gear box! try and get a C56 gear box as they come with LSD for some added goodness.

brakes is definitly a must - i used to have the same corolla (1.3) as you and those brakes would definitly not be sufficient to cope with the extra power and the extra weight of the engine. brakes all around perhaps.

hey dude i got it done in my car and its a dream come true well to me anyway. it takes some time but its worth the finished product
