I have a 1989 starlet. After a full service, i gave it a run out but now when you change gear it takes longer for the revs to die down to idle. What have i done.!! Also my economy light doesn't change colour any more. Any help would be appreciated.

Regarding the rpm, are you sure it's not supposed to be like that? You may have gotten used to it dropping down right away, but now it may work as it is supposed to.

When you say the eco ligth doesn't change, do you mean that remains green or orange? Or do you mean that it just take more to change from green to orange. If tha latter, it sounds like your engine has gotten more efficient. Try floor it and see.

Thanks for the reply. It's been changing to orange. but now it stays green all the time. I have put my foot down but green it stays. Ive found a valve like unit on the bulk head with a single wire connected. i didn't know if this is what turned the light to orange.

It's normal for revs to take a while to die down, I'd be worried of my engine was so readily slowing down...

As said before, it's probably running nicely and as it should. A service cannot hurt it unless yu do something liek put antifreeze in the oil cap.

Report back. ;)
