A Lot Of Oil!

Hi to everyone!

I recently fixed my Celica GT4 ST205. :D

what was done:

- engine (3SGTE) totally rebuild (1st repair)

- JE-racing pistons (tested up to 5 Bar)

-EAGLE connecting rods

-Nissan S14's turbo (GARRET )

-Costumized exhaust (all)

-APEXI induction kit

-upgrated Intercooler system

-stock fuel injectors (540cc)

-stock fuel pump

-G-REDDY blow off valve

-Currenti running G-REDDY boost control

when the engine was rebuilt the gaps between cylinder and piston were set 0,06mm

the comression test after, shows 10 in all the piston, just fine

Problem:

The car seams to consume a lot of oil ?!?!?!?

went back to the garage and compression test shows 10 again!!! I can see sometimes smoke coming from the back but is not permanent...I guest after the blow off valve blows.

Sometimes the car feels ready and just flays away..., but sometimes feels kind of lazy and when this happens, the blow off valve seems to lose pressure at 4500 rpm, at this time the pressure drops for a moment and the car pulls again.

Need some advice, really...

Best

I know u said the compression test was all good but just wondering was the car run in on mineral oil first?

No it was never used with mineral oil, the oil there has always been semi synthetic...

Also what brand of oil and what oil specifics do you recommend for my engine...

was the compression test done with the engine warm or cold?

I guess the compression test was done with engine warm as I had to drive for 30 minutes (6-7 km) in traffic to the garage...

I think most people use mineral oil to run it in. Could be something to do with the rings not bedding in fully??? I'm no expert.

You probably want to run 10w-50 or 10w-60 fully synthetic for a forged engine.
