Exhaust System Replacement

Hi

The original exhaust on my 2000 1.8 7A-FE needs replacing. The flanges on the 'cat to back-box' and 'down-pipe to cat' have failed so a complete system is required. A copy Timax unit has been sourced (£160 - delivered)

There will be three gaskets required (I think). Can someone confirm this? Are all the gaskets identical? The one I'm unsure of is the manifold to down-pipe.

I always now look into replacing an exhaust with a stainless steel version just to see what the price difference is. I have replaced

two cars complete exhaust systems with a stainless steel version and yes it was more expensive (70% roughly) but both exhausts

were still going strong when I sold the cars. I had both cars for 4 years or so after replacing the exhaust which I think is good

value. Worth having a look if you have to replace the complete exhaust.
