Gen 3 Tranmission

Hi everyone. I have a Gen 3 Prius. It's a company car. Got it about 7 weeks ago. Everything was going fine until one day earlier this week when the transmission slipped from D to N while in the fast lane. At first I had no idea what was happening. Same thing happened two further times in the space of 30 mins. There has been no repeat performance. However, I have reported it and it is due to have a diagnostic check. Any similar problems out there?

Otherwise car is great. Averaging 61.7 mpg with best figure of 65.4.

Sorry, nothing here... never done it. 8000miles in.

I've had it happen once. But it was because my left hand was bored and started playing with the gear stick.

In normal operation, you would have to hold the gearstick in N for a couple of seconds to get there from D. It is possible to get to N from D by presing the P button while going more than 3 mph. Other than that, sounds like a possible fault.

Or could you have inadvertantly pressed 'park' instead of 'auto' for the climate control? I know I've done that once or twice by mistake when I had first got the car. If you're going over 3mph it doesn't engage 'park' but just slips the car into Neutral.

Had the diagnostic check this afternoon. No faults reported. Will monitor and if it happens again will keep you all posted.
