Mmt Warning Light Recall

Have just received a recall notice for my 05 verso concerning the "warning light/buzzer" and the MMT gearbox shifting into neutral.

This problem has happened nearly a dozen times over the past fortnight and by luck the recall notice arrived this morning.

Now,this is the question: I have been informed by my TOYOTA dealer that this "recall" is quite old and expires in 2012,now I want to find out when this recall actually started as have only had the car 18 months and it was purchased from a dealer so am wondering if they should have not

sold me the car knowing there was a fault?

can I find these details online???

if anyone could help I would be gratefull.
